Bathukamma Festival Lights Up Secretariat

The Bathukamma festival, a reflection of Telangana’s rich cultural traditions, was celebrated with grandeur at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Thursday evening. The event was organized under the leadership of the Telangana Secretariat Employees Association.

Ministers Join the Festivities

Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Women & Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) and Forest, Environment & Endowments Minister Konda Surekha attended the celebrations as chief guests. Their presence added significance to the occasion, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from women employees across all departments.

Joyful Participation of Women and Children

Women employees, accompanied by their children, adorned colorful Bathukammas with seasonal flowers and took part in traditional songs and dances. The event was filled with vibrant performances, including Bathukamma songs and dandiya, creating a festive atmosphere in the Secretariat.

Leaders and Associations Participate

The celebrations saw the participation of senior officials, employee union leaders, and cultural enthusiasts. Secretariat Employees Association President Srinivas Reddy, Women Employees Association President Ramadevi, along with members Shailaja, Manga, and Chandrakala, actively joined the festivities, making the event a true reflection of Telangana’s cultural pride.
